Let Them Eat Cake!

When I saw that Just Add Ink #383 blog challenge was about cake I had heart palpitations!  I've been wanting to create a cake shaker card with The Stamps of Life Cake2Stamp set.  It took a bit of trial and error but I got it done!  Isn't this just the cutest!!??  The Designer Paper is from It's My Party paper stack (retired) with Sprinkles Embellishments (retired),
both from Stampin Up!  The little cupcakes are actually nail design pieces I picked up from a beauty supply - of course to use in shaker cards and not on my nails.

Halloween Goodies for my Coworkers

So I got a wild hair and decided my coworkers needed to get a few Halloween treats.  The pencil idea I found on Pinterest years ago and they are a quick and easy project.  The treat pouch is super easy and uses the scalloped tag topper punch from Stampin Up!  The card is my favorite of the three!  Using the eclipse technique I die cut the BOO after I stamped the the card front.  Add a bit of washi and a splash of silver silk (from Fun Stampers Journey) and we have a super cute card.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Chick!

An extra day of crafting...yes, please!  Although I'm not feeling so good today a little crafting always helps.  As I was checking out a few blog challenges this morning the Global Design Project #GDP110  aught my eye and the creative juices started to take over.  I pulled out 3 stamp sets and a super cute piece of paper from Authentique Homestead 6x6 paper pad.  The Stampin Up! stamps are Wood Words, Better Together and Hey, Chick. The base color is Soft Sky with a pop of Real Red - Enjoy.

Pop of Color Christmas

I was inspired lately with several black & white challenges I've seen on IG and FB.  Although I love black & white I wanted to add a pop of color to these Christmas cards.  I love the use of non-traditional Berry Burst as the pop of color and I used the new Stampin Blends to color the rhinestones.

Following the challenge this week from Freshly Made Sketches (#309) I designed this adorable Christmas card using a circle from Merry Little Christmas DSP and the deer stamp from Merry Patterns.

Trying to find my Holiday Mojo

As I was cleaning and organizing my craft room I came across a few old Christmas stamp sets and decided to start playing around - trying to get a little holiday mojo...kinda hard since it's still in the high 90's here in Phoenix.  Anyway - I really like the Merriest Wishes set (retired) from Stampin Up! and the font of Merry Christmas from Better Together (current AC). I'm going to challenge myself this year and step outside of the traditional red/green or silver/blue color schemes so I decided to try a pink and gray notecard.  Enjoy.....

Friendly Challenge Accepted!

Recently, I've been part of a creative team challenge with a group of Stampin Up! demonstrators where I'm sent the "guts" of a project and must create something (card, box, 3D project) with those guts adding few embellishments of my choosing. This month I was sent a piece of soft sky and soft suede card stock, a piece of Coffee Break DSP and a delicate white doily. I added a piece of stitched satin ribbon (crumb cake - retired) and punched a few leaves from soft suede and velum that I hit with a few strokes of Wink of Stella.  The sentiment comes from Just Add Text stamp set and finally added a bit of bling with a few rhinestone basic jewels.

I love how this card turned out - clean and simple with a bit of elegance......enjoy!

Mini Coffee Cup - Fall Treats

Happy Fall Y'all!  Well.... here in Phoenix it's in the mid 90's still....but it's fall somewhere! I had to jump on the mini coffee cup trend that's been around for a while. I loved this Stampin Up! DSP - it's from a retired pack so I don't have the name anymore - but sure enjoy the colors & patterns.  Pared with a leaf die cut from the colorful seasons bundle and a touch of copper foil paper it's sure does bring that fall feeling.  Of course I used my favorite stamp set - Merry Cafe and an accent of tranquil tide card. This little goodie treat is filled with coffee candies and of course a few of the pumpkin spice caramels.

HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!!

I had a blast making a few cards with my mom who is visiting from Oregon, and to make this day even better it's my youngest grandson's 1st birthday.  I'm highlighting his card first and then a fun card I made with a stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps - Ethel with Coffee.  Isn't she awesome?  (Sneak peek - she is colored using Stampin Up! NEW alcohol markers Stampin' Blends. Stay tuned I'll post a review and a link to my reveal video soon). The last fall inspired card uses copper foil as the overlay for the leaves.  Stunning, I think.

Eye think you're neat

It's October!!! WOOHOO! Not only is it the beginning of fall it's my birthday month!  I'm excited to turn 49 (that's what I keep telling myself) 😐.  I'm taking time off work - my mom is coming to visit and we'll spend our days crafting, knitting, and gabbing.  So, as fall and halloween approaches I'll start posting more often - since I love making halloween cards and treat holders there will be lots more to see - so come back often!

This super cute card uses Monster Mash stamp/die set from Lawn Fawn and the film capture die from Fun Stampers Journey.  I added a bit of sparkle to each of the monsters using Wink of Stella clear but wanted to keep the clean and simple design.
